Around two years ago, WTE Wassertechnik and Siemens signed a framework cooperation agreement. The aim was to combine our respective strengths, exploit synergies, and work together to develop solutions for the water management of the future.
This partnership has now resulted in the first joint film—and it impressively demonstrates how far we have come.

Product placement with appeal

The new Siemens film presents an example of how WTE technology and Siemens components work hand in hand – in this specific case, in the UAH (Umm Al Hayman, Kuwait) project.
The video not only shows the scale and complexity of the project, but also illustrates how our collaboration in the areas of automation, digitalization, and process control has a tangible impact in practice.

Our plants and systems are part of the film – and thus visible in the global Siemens network. This form of product placement was a common goal of the cooperation: The presence of WTE solutions in Siemens channels attracts international attention and strengthens our position as a leading technology partner in the water and wastewater sector.

A growing partnership

What began with the signing of the cooperation agreement in 2023 is increasingly developing into a strategic partnership between equals.
In recent months, WTE and Siemens have jointly pursued concrete approaches in areas including:

Integration of the WTE software solution WARIOS into the Siemens Xcelerator platform,
Exchange on digitalization and smart city projects,
and the use of Siemens products in WTE plants – from Halle-Lochau to Berlin to UAH in Kuwait.
The film is a further step in making this cooperation visible – and an example of how technological partnerships can also have a communicative impact.
