MPWiK Warszawie SA again places its trust in the excellent range of services of the WTE Group

Once again, Poland’s largest water and wastewater company, MPWiK Warszawie SA, Warsaw, has commissioned the WTE Group to modernize the Pruszków wastewater treatment plant.

By the end of 2015, WTE had already successfully completed the first conversion of the wastewater treatment plant and handed over the plant to the municipal waterworks in Warsaw.

Two years previously, WTE, together with its Polish subsidiary as well as the Porr construction company, was commissioned to design, modernize and expand the wastewater treatment plant. The aim was to expand the existing mechanical and biological purification plants, as well as the sludge and biogas treatment plants during ongoing operation.

After this first successful cooperation, WTE again signed a contract in March 2019 for an extended modernisation of the Pruszków wastewater treatment plant. This time the primary clarifiers, sludge thickeners and sludge pumping stations will be upgraded to the latest state of the art. The total volume of the order amounts to approx. 3.4m euros.

The Pruszków Wastewater Treatment Plant, with a capacity of 256,000 PE, is located in the north-western part of Warsaw and purifies the wastewater of the Ursus district, the Pruszków Municipality and the towns of Piastów, Michałowice, Ożarów Mazowiecki and Brwinów. The plant is one of the three large sewage treatment plants of MPWiK Warszawie SA.
