“SHAPING THE FUTURE OF WATER & ENERGY – TOGETHER.” Under this motto, WTE and STRABAG presented their integrated solutions – ranging from planning and construction to operation – for the first time together at IFAT in Munich. In addition to wastewater, drinking water, sewage sludge incineration and software, visitors to the completely new booth were also able to find out about solutions for biogas, energy and waste. A broad range of services that met with great interest.

WTE and STRABAG welcomed a large number of customers, partners and prospective clients to their joint booth. Our panel discussions on current industry topics attracted additional visitors and provided valuable insights. Each of the four days of the trade fair was dedicated to a key theme, which was discussed by leading experts in our programme of talks. The topics ranged from AI in operational management to the significance of the new Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive.

Exhibitors, industry experts and visitors from all over the world

IFAT 2026 has once again demonstrated its value as the world’s leading trade fair for the exchange of ideas and the advancement of key future-oriented topics. Around 3,400 exhibitors from 60 countries met 142,000 visitors from 160 countries and regions in Munich. With an exhibition area of 300,000 square metres, IFAT once again served as an international industry hub for environmental technologies. We were delighted to be part of it!

Once IFAT is over, it’s time to start thinking about the next one! In two years’ time, the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies will open its doors once again. Make a note of the dates: 29 May to 1 June 2028.
